Refund Policy

At FreeWork Studio, we are committed to delivering exceptional value through our freelance training programs, mentorship services, and professional development resources. We stand behind the quality of our Services and want our clients to feel confident in their investment.

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested and granted. By purchasing or enrolling in any FreeWork Studio service, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this policy.

1. General Refund Philosophy

We believe in the transformative value of our programs when participants engage fully and apply the strategies taught. Our refund policy is designed to protect both our clients and our business, ensuring fairness while maintaining the integrity of our educational services.

Important Note: Due to the personalized nature of our mentorship and the immediate access to proprietary content, not all services are eligible for refunds. Please review the specific terms for each service type below.

2. Freelance Start Program Refunds

The Freelance Start Program is our comprehensive curriculum designed to take you from zero to your first freelance clients.

2.1 Eligibility Period

Refund requests for the Freelance Start Program must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. After this period, all sales are final.

2.2 Refund Conditions

To be eligible for a refund, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Submit your refund request within 14 days of your original purchase date
  • Have completed no more than 25% of the program curriculum
  • Have not downloaded or printed substantial program materials
  • Have not attended any live mentorship or coaching sessions
  • Provide a brief explanation of why the program did not meet your expectations

2.3 Non-Refundable After Engagement

If you have participated in live sessions, received personalized feedback, or engaged substantively with the program materials (beyond 25% completion), the purchase is considered final and non-refundable. This policy protects the value of our mentors' time and the proprietary nature of our curriculum.

3. 1:1 Mentoring and Coaching Refunds

Our mentoring and coaching services involve personalized, one-on-one guidance tailored to your unique freelance journey.

3.1 Session-Based Services

Individual mentoring sessions purchased separately are non-refundable once scheduled. You may reschedule a session with at least 48 hours' notice, but refunds will not be issued.

3.2 Mentoring Packages

Multi-session mentoring packages may be eligible for partial refunds under the following conditions:

  • Request submitted before the second session is completed
  • Refund amount will be prorated based on completed sessions
  • A 20% administrative fee applies to all mentoring package refunds
  • No refunds after 50% of package sessions have been completed

4. Profile Optimization and Document Services

Services related to profile reviews, optimization, proposal templates, and contract documents are custom-tailored to your specific needs.

4.1 Work-Product Services

Once we have delivered initial drafts or completed work on your behalf, these services become non-refundable. This includes:

  • Upwork, Fiverr, or LinkedIn profile optimization
  • Custom proposal templates
  • Contract and agreement documents
  • Portfolio reviews with written feedback

4.2 Pre-Delivery Cancellations

If you wish to cancel a profile optimization or document service before we begin work, you may receive a full refund minus a $50 processing fee. Once work has commenced, no refunds will be issued.

5. Project Delivery Support and Production Services

Our project delivery support and production assistance services are billed hourly or per project milestone.

5.1 Hourly Services

Hourly support services are billed for actual time worked and are non-refundable. Time tracking records are maintained and can be provided upon request.

5.2 Project-Based Services

Project-based services paid in advance may be refunded for incomplete milestones only. Completed milestones are non-refundable. A detailed breakdown of milestone completion will be provided with any refund calculation.

6. Business Operations Setup Services

Services related to invoicing systems, workflow automation, and operational infrastructure setup are considered completed upon delivery of materials and initial setup guidance.

6.1 Setup Services

Business operations services are non-refundable once initial setup has been delivered. This includes:

  • CRM and project management system configuration
  • Template creation for invoices, contracts, and workflows
  • Process documentation and standard operating procedures

7. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email your refund request to support@freeworkstudio.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line
  2. Provide Details: Include your full name, email address associated with your account, service purchased, purchase date, and reason for the refund request
  3. Wait for Review: Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
  4. Receive Decision: You will be notified of the refund decision via email
  5. Processing Time: If approved, refunds are processed within 7-10 business days and will appear in your original payment method

8. Partial Refunds and Prorated Credits

In certain circumstances, we may offer partial refunds or account credits instead of full refunds. These decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and may apply when:

  • You have partially completed a program or service
  • Technical issues prevented full service delivery (we will make every effort to resolve these first)
  • You wish to switch to a different FreeWork Studio service

9. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your credit card company or payment provider instead of contacting us directly, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your access to all FreeWork Studio services
  • Pursue the dispute through proper channels with evidence of service delivery
  • Ban future purchases or account creation

We strongly encourage you to contact us first to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a chargeback.

10. Technical Issues and Service Interruptions

If you experience technical difficulties accessing our platform or services, please contact our support team immediately. We will work diligently to resolve any technical issues and may extend access periods or provide alternative delivery methods as appropriate.

Refunds due to technical issues are handled on a case-by-case basis and generally require documentation of the issue and good-faith efforts to resolve it with our support team.

11. Satisfaction Guarantee (Limited)

While we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes (client acquisition, income levels, etc.), we do guarantee that:

  • All content and materials will be delivered as described
  • Scheduled sessions will be honored or rescheduled
  • Our team will respond to support inquiries within 48 hours (business days)
  • Services will be delivered professionally and in accordance with industry standards

12. Force Majeure and Unforeseen Circumstances

FreeWork Studio shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemic events, government actions, or infrastructure failures. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide alternative delivery methods before considering refund requests.

13. Changes to This Refund Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our Services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Refund requests will be evaluated under the policy in effect at the time of purchase.

14. Final Sale Items and Promotional Offers

Certain promotional offers, discounted packages, or limited-time services may be marked as "Final Sale" and are explicitly non-refundable. These will be clearly indicated at the time of purchase.
